Free Haircuts for Youth Mental Health & Confidence
Many young people walk into school carrying more than backpacks they carry bullying, negative labels, low self‑esteem, and the stress of growing up in low‑income households. Our Free Haircuts Program gives them a moment to breathe, reset, and feel seen.A fresh haircut becomes confidence, dignity, and emotional support. It helps youth return to school feeling stronger, focused, and proud of who they are. It’s more than a haircut. It’s mental health support, anti‑bullying work, and community care. We’re building stronger minds and stronger futures one youth at a time.

About Developing kids Into Innovators
Every young person deserves a place where they feel supported, capable, and seen. Developing Kids Into Innovators exists to build that space.
We serve youth through mentorship, employment training, literacy and reading programs, newcomer support, and anti-bullying education. Our work starts in Edmonton and Toronto, but our impact reaches across Canada as we equip young people with confidence, life skills, and real opportunities.
From Fresh Cuts haircuts that restore dignity, to hands-on workshops that teach entrepreneurship and creative skills, to buddy programs that help newcomer youth integrate with care, everything we do is shaped by belonging, mental wellness, and leadership development.
This is where youth discover their strengths, find mentors who believe in them, and step into their future with confidence.
Youth Employment & Mentorship Program
Our Youth Employment and Mentorship Program supports young people ages 15 to 24 with hands-on training, guided mentorship, and employment opportunities throughout the year. We focus on summer roles, community-based placements, and skills that prepare them for long-term success.
